Why Puerto Vallarta???

I have always dreamed of a Destination Wedding... and what better place than the one Marc and I love most!! Look below for more information on the Destination of our Wedding!

Puerto Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta: Tropical-forested mountains and mineral-rich volcanic slopes appear to literally rise from the sea and 100 miles of mountain-ringed golden coastline hugs the stunningly beautiful Bay of Banderas. The country’s broadest and deepest natural bay, the Bay of Banderas swarms with aquatic life. The bay’s many qualities - dozens of beaches, sparkling sunshine and clear blue water ideal for snorkeling and swimming. In addition to the beauty of this spectacular setting, the friendliness of the locals has attracted a lively community from the U.S., Canada and Europe. Puerto Vallarta has evolved to meet the needs of today’s modern tourist, fortunately though, the town has retained its old-world appeal. Charming colonial and whitewashed buildings, cobblestone streets that wind in and out, red Spanish tile roofs, and a brilliant abundance of flowers and jungle-like landscape differentiate Puerto Vallarta from any other destination.

Temperature: The high in May tends to be in the upper 80’s, while the low in the 70’s. On average there is only one rainy day in the month of may. Let’s hope it’s not the 16th!

Money: The peso is the national currency, although US dollars are widely accepted in businesses throughout town. Major credit cards are also accepted in most establishments. Universal ATMs are broadly available for cash withdrawals from global cash cards; money exchange and hotels also offer currency exchange services.

Population: Vallarta is home to 350,000 residents and attracts almost 3 million visitors annually.

Food: Over 250 restaurants serve a wide range of international cuisine, from Mexican to Italian, French to Argentine, Austrian to Japanese, in settings ranging from funky beach palapas to elegant candlelit castles.

Transportation: Taxis are never hard to find in Puerto Vallarta and seem to be the easiest mode of transportation. Another suggested form of transportation is the bus, it is an experience you won’t want to miss!
